27 years ago today my second son was born. He was the quietest, most placid baby imaginable; the one every mother hopes for. I did not foresee the adventurer he would become; exploring the world, enjoying life, grabbing at experiences with enthusiasm.
….
In spite of his propensity to worry this poor old mum, he is a great son, brother and now uncle. Happy Birthday to you!
.
Awww. Happy Burfday to your son.
What animal is he wearing in that pic? I want one!
It’s a binturong!
had to google. cool animal!
Thank you Emmy – at first glance I thought it was a possum. I wouldn’t like any type of animal/reptile around my neck.
In our vet tech class I got to hold one……they’re really energetic animals. Beautiful, but kind of nervous and it was odd having it on my shoulders. I think it’s actually rare to have them in captivity. There are strict laws about civet species overseas…..this one where your son is at looks like a sanctuary. Cool, I’d love to hear about his experience with the critter.
@ Emmy – this was in Bali about 2 weeks ago. I will have to ask him more about it.
@ leendadll – LOL – I sent the photo to a friend and titled it “not my idea of a fur collar” . I had not heard of a binturong until this.
Happy birthday!
🙂
It’s the quiet ones you have to look out for, Emjay! 😉 Happy birthday to the Economist! I’m happy you live life to the fullest, but stay safe and don’t give your mother any more grey hairs!
That is very true HG; 🙂
Happy Birthday to your world explorer! : )
He certainly has wanderlust. 🙂
And he’s very handsome!
(=
Yeah – he’s not bad is he 🙂
Life does indeed go on
It does indeed….
He really is quite handsome. Love the adventure photos! Happy Birthday to him!
There were so many photos to choose from 🙂
And a fine-looking young man! Well done, you!
Not too shabby is he! 🙂
Happy Birthday to him! What an incredible life it is to travel when you’re young.
He is so keen to see the world – and of course he has the advantage of living in Australia where they get 4 weeks vacation a year.
Happy birthday to the economist….and to Young Jane too.
Thank you GOF – I’m sure they both enjoyed their respective birthdays.
