Losers on the Left

We found this sign on the Pyrmont Bridge across Darling Harbour.  Note that the lonesome loser has  little space before the railing ……..

  1. Okay, I'll remember that. The next time I'm in Austrailia I'll walk on the left, no doubt convienent for the right people to toss over the railing those who would dare, at least once, to ask for a shilling. Is that why Austrailia doesn't have any homeless people? They get tossed over? ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. There are some interesting signs in Sydney. When I was last there (December 2003) I came across one near Kings Cross that stated something like "No Kerb Crawlers Allowed". I had no idea what it meant until the next I saw on the news that there was a crackdown by the police on people kerb crawling for sex. Ahhh…. then the penny dropped. I wish I had taken a photo of the sign now.

  3. LOL! Actually, we have about 100,000 homeless people in Australia. Our weather might be a little more forgiving than that of some homeless in America – and the views in Sydney are very nice! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. We were actually confused as to what it meant but assume that little character is supposed to be a jogger?? Maybe it is meant to depict the elderly … no walking stick though…… so, perhaps you are right!

  5. LOL … well, we "stuck in the middle" because the only bit of shade was the shadow from the monorail – you can see in the photo that basically everyone is trying to walk in that shadow!
